The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund (the Fund) was created by Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of AmericaSM (CSFA) to provide educational assistance for postsecondary study to financially needy dependents of those killed or permanently disabled as a result of the September 11 terrorist attacks and during the rescue activities relating to those attacks. CSFA, the nation's largest private sector scholarship and educational support organization, will administer the Fund through the year 2030. The Fund is extended to currently enrolled undergraduate students, as well as dependents born in the months since 9/11/01."
